Trip Recap: Athens, Greece

I'm back!! I had the most fabulous time on my trip to Europe and I'm so excited to share it with you! I have so much to show and tell so I'm going to start with the couple days I spent in Greece.

My sister is studying abroad in Greece this semester, and since I have never been to Europe, I decided it was the perfect time to go! I met up with her in Porto Rafti, Greece, which is about 30 minutes from Athens. This is where she is staying for the semester, at the Harding University Artemis Hotel. Harding is also my alma mater!
I stayed at the Artemis for 2 nights. The first morning I woke up to this beautiful view outside my window:
While my sister, Rachel, was in class, I walked down to the beach and was in awe of how beautiful the view was! (Can you say Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants??)
Here's a silly selfie...
When Rachel got out of class, we took the metro into Athens and went to the Plaka, which is one of the main shopping areas in Athens. You can see the Acropolis up there at the top of the picture!
After doing some shopping, we started walked up towards the Acropolis and got an amazing picture of the entire city. How gorgeous is this!
A little closer view of the Acropolis
Some really cool grafitti we saw
And here's me and Rachel!

Hope you enjoyed these pics from Greece! Tomorrow I'll be posting about my 6 days in Italy, so stay tuned!

Seeing Spots

My final guest post is really special- let me introduce you to my BFF Katie! We are affectionately known as "Dos Katies" by all our friends. Numerous times, we have been mistaken for sisters, and once even twins! I think its just the height and hair color :). This girl may be petite but she has a big personality! We always think we are so funny that we should have our own reality show...not sure others would agree, haha! So glad I got to shoot these pics and show off my bestie!

When it comes to fashion, I’m not as much of a risk taker as Miss Style Diary. My style is more subdued, and not as bold and daring. I’m currently obsessed with all things ultra-girly. My favorites are bows, lace, pearls, pink, ruffles, and of course, polka dots! Polka dots have always been my favorite pattern, and I was so excited when they came back in style. I went through a phase where I really wanted to wear them, but was afraid they made me look too juvenile. The spots are back now and in a big way that even we young professionals can enjoy. I was a little daring and decided to do dots-on-dots in one look, and then mix patterns by adding a leopard scarf in the other!

Chambray shirt, jeans, shoes- Forever 21
Blazer- Express, Top- Forever 21, Scarf- Charlotte Russe, Jeans- Hollister, Boots- Forever 21

I had so much fun with this post and am grateful to Katie for saving me a guest spot. Now I’m off to pick up Miss Style Diary from the airport and hear about her fabulous shopping adventures in Europe!

Guest Blogger: Coast With Me

Hi guys! I have Rita of Coast With Me for today's post! Rita's blog is a lot more than just fashion (she has amazing style by the way!); she also blogs about recipes and cover songs she does on youtube! Super talented girl right there. Take a look at her blog to see more!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Friends, Followers, & Fans of Style Diary! My name is Rita and I’m the blogger behind Coast With Me. How did Coast With Me come about? I’m glad you asked! One part quarter life crisis + one part creativity + one part passion for fashion + one part sweetaholic + one part music junkie + one part too shy to express all of those things in person = The perfect formula for a blog:)! It was really slow to start. Let me tell you. It was crickets. I think I talked to myself for a good 6 months. Then things started to pick up. Little by little. Baby steps. And I just hit the one year mark. Time flies!

So why am I here? The beautiful Katie asked me to do guest post on my favorite spring trends. Where. Do. I. Start. There are sooooo many. I love all the pastel and neon colors. All the florals and prints. Flowy Dresses. Peasant tops. Wide Leg / Bell Bottom Jeans. Denim jackets. Colorful Blazers. Utility jackets. Pleated Skirts. Eyelet Tops. Less layers. More freedom with outfits. Etc. Here are a few of my outfits that incorporate my favorite spring trends.

Thank you so much for featuring me on your blog, Katie!

A huge thank you to Rita for sharing your amazing style with us!

All About Stripes

I have another real life friend for you today- Lindsay! Lindsay's style is all about casual and comfortable. Here she is in two of her favorite outfits for spring, both incorporating stripes!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you took a quick glimpse of my closet, you could probably tell that I'm a fan of stripes all year round. But I'm excited to trade in black and gray for brighter colors this spring!

Top, jeans, and sandals: Old Navy, Necklace: Ily Couture
Top: TJ Maxx, Shorts: Old Navy, Shoes: Audrey Brooke

Spring is my favorite season, so it was hard to pick one trend. I also love girly floral and lace!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for letting me take your pics, Lindsay! (Thank you for putting up with my photo shoot antics, Katie!)

Guest Blogger: Stylish Sass

Hi readers! Today I have Terri of Stylish Sass for you! Terri is as sweet as can be and has an adorable girly style! Be sure to take a look at her blog to see more, and leave her some comments down below.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, Style Diary readers! I’m Terri from Stylish Sass, and I’m thrilled to meet you! While Katie is away, she has asked me to share with you one of my favorite up-and-coming Spring trends. I was pretty excited when black and white popped up all over Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, and Marc Jacobs during Fashion Week this year since I wear black and white quite a bit already, and now I’ll be considered trendy! It doesn't happen often, so I get pretty excited about these things. I didn't start pattern-mixing until a year later, and it took me about three years to jump on skinny jeans. This is not a trendy girl you’re looking at, but now that the fashion gods have determined that black and white is fresh and hip, let’s all be super-trendy ladies together!

Thank so much Terri for guest posting for me today!
