Neon, Denim and New Hair

Jacket- c/o Aeropostale (similar), Sweater- Gap (old, similar here and here), Jeans- c/o Aeropostale, Boots- Wanted (similar on sale $30), Necklace- similar, love this

Leopard is a neutral. I'm pretty sure that is a well-known fact. But what about camo? You can pretty much pair it with anything, so I deem it a neutral! I love this striped sweater, but don't want to look too summery in bright neons during fall and winter. My solution? Pair it with camo to tone down the brightness.

My jeans are from Aeropostale, which I have determined is one of my favorite affordable denim brands. I got a couple trendier pairs of their jeans a few months ago (two-tone and patchwork) and loved the quality. I decided to try out their jeggings over the weekend and got them in three different washes. Let me tell you, the fit on these is great, and they are so affordable! The most expensive pair I got was $25 on sale (and they are regularly on sale). I did have to go up a size, but that's pretty typical when I buy anything labeled "jegging." If you are like me and don't like to splurge on designer denim, I highly recommend checking out Aeropostale. They have a great selection of styles and washes.

I'm on a mission lately to be all "effortlessly put together," experimenting with half-tucking, cuffing, and rolling. This time I did the J.Crew cuff on my jacket sleeves, and tried this silly half-cuff thing with my jeans (y'all...I don't even know if I am pulling this off!). I was pleased with the result, but I still can't help but stare in awe at girls who can cuff, tuck and roll like a pro and look like they didn't even try. *Jealous!*

As for my hair, I've been needing a trim for a loooong time, but after seeing a few photos of shorter cuts (here and here), I decided to go a bit drastic and cut off seven or eight inches. I also wanted to brighten up my color so we used a toner to make the red richer. I haven't had my hair this short in years, and I love it!
