Summer Wedding with eShakti

Dress- c/o eShakti, Heels- Guilty Soles (similar here, here), Clutch- Francesca's (similar), Earring- Target (similar)

I was really excited when eShakti contacted me about reviewing one of their items, and I decided to pick out a dress to wear for summer weddings. I've been loving blue lately, so this one seemed like the perfect choice. If you haven't purchased from eShakti before, I'll explain a little about the process. eShakti creates custom pieces based on your body measurements, and allows you to choose certain small details (hem length, pockets/no pockets, add sleeves, etc) when ordering. I chose to input my measurements so the dress would be perfectly fitted, but you can order in standard sizes as well. I placed an order with them previously for this yellow floral dress that I love. One little tip- make sure to get your measurements as exact as possible, or have someone help you. I did very quick measurements and ended up with a dress that was a little more fitted in the waist than I would have liked. Still, I do like the end result and felt like it fit my body better than if I had purchased this dress in a standard size. If you have any events coming up this summer and want a dress that fits like a glove, I definitely recommend checking out eShakti.

I normally don't match my dress to my shoes, but I loved the monochrome look of pairing cobalt heels with this dress. Another thing I normally don't do is attempt an updo 30 minutes before needing to leave for an event! I really wanted to wear my hair up since it is SO hot out, so I quickly search YouTube and found this easy how-to video for a cute bohemian updo. It took me two tries to get it right, but it was fairly easy to recreate.

A couple things I learned after wearing this dress:
1. I need to invest in a steamer. Trying to iron the wrinkles out of this dress using a wet washcloth as a buffer was a pain!
2. I need a tan. It seems that no matter what amount of Jergen's gradual tanning lotion I apply, I am still going to look like a ghost.
