Happy 4th! I will be spending my day at the pool and grilling out! Let's just pretend my lipstick is red here, that way this post will fit the theme of the day :) This blue monochrome look is one of my favorites! I absolutely love the print on these pants, and how perfect that I had a cobalt top that matched the color exactly. A good rule of thumb if the monochrome trend scares you is to make sure one of your pieces has a print to it. Here, the white floral print on my pants breaks up the color a bit so I don't look like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

I wore my Southern Charm Apparel acrylic monogram bracelet with this look to carry some more white throughout my outfit. This little bracelet is so cute and comes in tons of different colors. Maxis are a definitely summer staple in my book. This thin cotton dress is super comfy (and a great way to hide those legs you were too lazy to shave this morning!) Its also the perfect piece to carry you into fall with a great blazer or leather jacket when the weather starts cooling off. I'm eyeing a few to add to my wardrobe- check them out down below!

Ummm, hi July. You sure got here quickly. Time is literally flying by! There are so many more things I want to do this summer, so I better get going. I haven't even gotten my first sno cone yet! (Scratch that- this was accomplished yesterday afternoon! Pink lemonade sno cone...my favorite!)

This outfit is so perfect for summer. The bright colors, light fabrics, and neon accessories scream warm weather to me. I really love the print on this dress, so much that it was a total impulse buy from Forever 21. When I saw the same dress on Jen, I decided to tweak the way she styled it by using brights instead of pastels, but I couldn't help layering my gingham shirt on top! This was my first attempt at tying a button up shirt around my waist, and I really liked how it looked.
