Day to Night: Black and White

Black and white is a great trend for spring. My favorite way to wear it is with a pop of color, like with my cobalt necklace here! I wanted to show how I wore the same basic outfit for day and night. I love this grid print shirt (also on trend for spring) and it was very affordable- only &15.80 from Forever 21! For day, I kept the shirt loose and paired it with my blue and nude Zara flats. At night, I dressed it up with a cropped blazer and black heels.

 

Who knew black and white could be so trendy! Love it!

Work Wear: Coral and Floral

Coral and floral...so cheesy. Haha.

I have been on the lookout for all things floral print for spring, and when I found these pants in Promod in Paris, they were calling my name! I absolutely love the floral print. I like that they are long enough to hit my shoes, but I may have them altered to be cropped. What do you think? Do you like the longer length?

Spring Tweed

I have been on the lookout for a tweed jacket for a while now, and I finally found the perfect one in London! This jacket was on sale for 10₤ (equivalent of $15), so I had to pick it up! Of course I was thrilled that it was mint since I love that color for spring. Since the jacket doesn't have a collar, I added a white blouse with a faux leather collar. I really like the cutouts on the collar for some added detail. Now I just hope the weather in Texas doesn't warm up too quick so I can get some use out of my jacket!

I did decide it was warm enough for that first pedicure of the season the other day and treated myself to some hot pink toes! The color is OPI That's Hot! Pink.

I was tagged by Lindsay of Lindsay J Everyday to do the 5 Things About Me tag. This is a really fun opportunity to get to share some things about me that I've never shared before! There are a few silly things and a few more serious things, so let's get started.

1. I am obsessed with my DVR. I don't think I ever watch live TV anymore. I set all my shows to record the season and catch up on episodes whenever I can. Curious about what I am watching? Project Runway, The Carrie Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, Teen Mom 2 (I know, I know...its my guilty pleasure), Pretty Little Liars, and the occasional HGTV or Food Network show.

2. I LOVE Tex Mex with every fiber of my being. I could eat fajita chicken soft tacos every single day of my life. If you live in the south, you are probably familiar with Chuy's, which is my all time favorite Tex Mex restaurant. Another of my favorites is Torchy's Tacos. Yummmmm!

3. I am involved in a wonderful singles group at my church here in Dallas that I really enjoy. I've always been a shy person, but once I got involved with this group, I really felt like I came out of my shell. I spend a lot of time with the friends I have made there, including a Tuesday night small group Bible study and of course tons of social events on weekends. I've met some of my very best friends at church!

4. I own no less than 200 bottles of nail polish. I spent about a year of my life painting my nails every 2 or 3 days, and I'm not talking solid colors here. I tried out so many nail designs, and I'm getting better at it- finally! I still enjoy nail art, but I stick to more simple designs, glitter, and nail stamps, and I don't paint my nails anywhere near as often.

This is only about half of my collection- I need another polish rack!

5. I played Clarinet from 6th grade through high school, and one of my dream jobs would be to play in a orchestra that records movie soundtracks. Kind of far-fetched and random but I would love that!

Easter Pastels

I figured my Easter outfit would make a perfect post for the first day of April! I got both this dress and blazer at Primark in London. I love them both! (Y'all... I went crazy in Primark. You will be seeing a lot more outfits from there coming up soon!) I was really happy to discover that my new Jeweliq earrings matched the colors in my dress perfectly.
