Giving In: Game Day Style
Sweater- Forever 21, Dress- Forever 21, Boots- Express, Necklace- J.Crew (similar), Bag- Old Navy
Little did I know that I would ever start dressing for "game day" on Saturdays. That's what happens when you date a college football fan. I figured it was better to join them than try to beat them. Aside from the fact that I don't care much to watch the actual game, the culture of football, I'll admit, is kinda fun. Since this is my second season being a Texas A&M fan by default, I figured it was time to pick up something fun to wear on game days. I started with a t-shirt, but wearing a dress in your team's color is a whole lot more fun. Can I just say how glad I am that A&M's colors are maroon and white? I definitely love wearing maroon for fall.
I went with my boyfriend and his parents to the game last Saturday, and this is what I wore. I loved that the weather finally cooled off, making this sweater a necessity for the 8:00 start time. I didn't buy this necklace for the maroon, but it conveniently matches my dress perfectly.
Which team do you root for? What's your favorite game day outfit?

Sporty Floral
Jacket- Forever 21, Tee- Everlane, Jeans- c/o Aeropostale, Booties- Dolce Vita, Bag- Old Navy
As much of a girly girl as I am, I have been loving the sporty trend. Okay, and maybe this isn't exactly sporty, but the stripes around the collar and sleeves are enough of a reference for me. This is my ode to Poppy Delevigne's look here. If you are interested in this jacket, just know that it runs pretty small. I'm wearing a large here and it fits perfectly.
In the world of white tees, this one is pretty perfect. It's incredibly soft and washes well. Everlane has other colors and styles and I highly recommend checking them out if you haven't already.

Work Wear: Stripes on Stripes
Shirt- Old Navy, Skirt- Limited (similar), Heels- Report via Piperlime, Necklace- Forever 21 (similar)
So I may be taking "stripes on stripes" too figuratively since the second set of stripes are the two leather ones on my skirt, but mixing two striped pieces is hard! One day, I'd love to have a striped blazer that would oh-so-perfectly coordinate with this striped boyfriend shirt (like in this look from fashion week), but for now, my leather striped skirt will do.
I am really obsessed with these Report heels! When I find something I like but the price is too high, I always set a Shopstyle sale alert so I get an email when the price is lowered. There are other sites and apps out there that do sale alerts too, but I love the mix of brands and other features Shopstyle offers. I ended up getting these babies for 20% off the sale price and they are well worth it. Very comfortable and not too high of a heel. I definitely recommend them.

Collared Dress
A floral shirtdress was one of the pieces I wanted to shop for this fall, so I was excited when I thought to pair this old dress with a sleeveless button up to create a similar look without having to buy anything. I love that the look is a little 60's mod since the dress is a shift, but I added the peep-toe booties to make it a little more modern. I'm really into mixing shades of navy and burgundy for fall, so I carried my burgundy crossbody bag to complete the look. My look isn't quite as fabulous as the Erin Featherston dress that inspired me, but I still really like it!

Summer Weather, Fall Vibe
I'm normally not one to be drawn to what I would call "bohemian" styles, but there's something about big fedoras that makes me want to wear flowy dresses with booties. Or maybe it was just this picture from Kendi Skeen's new boutique, West & Lou. I get really excited when I see a picture of an outfit I like and realize I have all the pieces to recreate it. And maybe this look is lacking creativity (which is the opposite of what I'm trying to go for, see here), but I really like it. It's perfect for the non-fall weather, and it still feels fall inspired.

Embellished Jacket
Jacket- c/o Oasap (12% off first order with OASAP1ST), Tee- Target, Jeans- Forever 21 (similar, $15 off $75 with SAVE15 or $20 off $100 with SAVE20 through 10/1 at F21), Heels- Zara (similar), Bag- Target (similar), Sunglasses- Forever 21
The last time I wore these boyfriend jeans, I said I was excited to dress them up. Well, here's my dressed up version four months later! I haven't been wearing jeans much, but I can finally feel comfortable breaking them out again for fall.
I think wearing little jackets is one of my favorite things about fall. Granted it was a high of 90 degrees the day I wore this, but I just pushed up the sleeves and wasn't outside much so it didn't matter. I really love the ikat print of this jacket as well as the beading and metallic threading detail. If you saw my post yesterday, you would have seen this photo, which is my inspiration for this look.
Oasap has a ton of really cute jackets right now; collarless printed jackets like this one, and bomber jackets as well. Their prices are really good, and you can get 12% off your first order with the code OASAP1ST. My only tip for shopping their site is to pay attention to the sizing as many of the pieces seem to have different measurements. This jacket is a small; however, many of the other jackets I have from Oasap are a medium and very snug.
