Military inspired pieces have been around for a while now, and were even popular throughout summer. In fall, we can get away with wearing this trend more literally with darker colors, outerwear, and edgy details. There are tons more ways to get a military inspired look without actually wearing camouflage. Look for structured jackets with epaulets, studded, strappy boots, or blazers with large brassy buttons to add to your fall wardrobe.
Normally, I wouldn't be caught dead in camouflage, but when I saw this jacket at the #AeroRocksFashion event, I totally fell for it. I love that it's a little less... well, camo than normal. The print almost looks watercolor or muted, while still having the full camouflage effect. Since I was a little hesitant to try out the camo trend, I softened this look up with a lace top and leopard pumps. I love the contrast the military and girly styles create together.
Okay- one more thing. I can't forget to mention these a-maz-ing jeans I also picked up from Aeropostale. You can't get anymore on trend than these; in fact, they were featured in the August edition of People StyleWatch (my all time favorite mag)! (see here) They are dark denim on front and black on the back and waistband. I love the two-tone effect. Super affordable, super comfy, great fit. You really can't go wrong! Seriously, run to Aero and pick up a pair. I promise you won't regret it.
Have you ever worn camo? How do you style it?
