Little White Dress

Dress- Old Navy, Sandals- Mindy Mae's Market, Bag- Francesca's, Sunglasses- Target, Watch- Fossil

I've worn this dress two Saturdays in a row. I really love it. Except that... its too sheer to wear without a slip! And my slip is this old polyester number that makes it impossible to stay cool. I've got to get a better one. Until then, I'm still going to wear this dress regardless. I feel like a little white dress is the definition of summer style!

Do any of you often find white tops and dress to be too sheer to wear? What's your secret?

Chino Shorts

Tank- Forever 21, Shorts- J.Crew Factory, Sandals- Old Navy, Sunglasses- Forever 21 (similar), Earrings- Modcloth, Watch- Fossil

Tanks and shorts are necessities in the Texas heat (which is already rearing its ugly head!). I'm a huge fan of colored and printed bottoms for any occasion and any time of year, but colorful shorts seem especially fun during summertime. I love J.Crew chino shorts since they come in so many colors, patterns and inseams. My favorite are the 4"- not too long and not too short. I also love that you can get different colors at the factory store, though they are basically the exact same short as the regular store styles. The only color I wouldn't recommend? White. They are unwearably see-through, so I tried out a white pair from Old Navy instead.

Black Maxi

Tank- Old Navy, Skirt- Forever 21 (similar), Sandals- Lulu's (same here), Necklace- Baublebar, Hat- Forever 21, Sunglasses- Forever 21, Bag- David Jones

During Memorial Day weekend, I found myself in Old Navy (living across the street from the mall, sometimes that just happens). They had some really great deals going on, but I was trying my best to refrain. One of the pieces I wanted to pick up was this black jersey maxi dress. I could picture it going so well with my new $7 Forever 21 fedora, but I paused for just a second before I grabbed it off the rack. I realized that I have a perfectly good black maxi skirt and tank top that I could use to easily create the same look. Phew. It's amazing what a little bit of creativity can save when it comes to clothes shopping (...but really, pairing a tank and maxi dress isn't a revolutionary combo, it's just that I love the thrill of new clothes so I rarely stop and think of what I already have!).

Fit in Clouds

I'm the girl who wears four inch wedges to a softball field, or stacked heeled sandals for three hours at the mall. I love wearing heels, but there have been many days when my feet have hated me by the time I took them off for the day. This happens especially when I get a new pair of heels and want to wear them immediately without considering the consequences. I rarely even think to grab a bandaid or two in case I start to get blisters, let alone to grab a pair of flats just in case I need them.

I was really excited when Fit in Clouds contacted me about reviewing their foldable flats because I knew they were a product I could get a lot of use out of. I've seen other foldable flats going for over $250! That is way too high a price to pay, even for something with a great convenience factor. Fit in Clouds flats ring up between $20 and $32, and they have a good variety of colors and styles. I choose the black and gold patent pairs, knowing that they would match best with the rest of my closet.

Fit in Clouds flats come in a drawstring bag that really is small enough to fit in your purse. I've started carrying a pair in my day-to-day handbag so that I can change into them if I need to run errands after work. If there is one place I really hate wearing heels, its the grocery store, so these flats are great to have on days I need to run in on my way home.

Other occasions I know these flats will come in handy are nights out, weddings, or basically any time you will be on your feet a lot in fun stilettos that aren't quite as comfy as they are cute. My Fit in Clouds flats actually fit inside my pink clutch, which made me really excited! I've worn my nude Zara heels out several times, and plan to wear them to an upcoming wedding. It's nice to know I can carry my Fit in Clouds flats to change in to at the end of the night when my feet can't take any more.

As for the comfort factor? These flats are super comfortable. I almost feel like I'm walking barefoot in them. I normally wear a 6.5, so I went with a medium in both pairs. The gold pair was a little bigger than the black, so I could have used a small, but they are still wearable.

I definitely recommend checking out Fit in Clouds if you wear a lot of heels, or even if you don't. Carrying foldable flats is a really easy way to avoid the annoyance of uncomfortable shoes. They are a great value for something that can save you from the reality that sometimes, our cutest shoes just aren't that practical. Now, whenever your friends question your choice of wearing your four inch stilettos for a night out, you can laugh off their concerns knowing that you have the safety net of your Fit In Clouds flats tucked away in your purse.

Flirty Floral

Top- Mango (similar), Skirt- Forever 21, Sandals- DSW, Bag- David Jones, Necklace- love this, Sunglasses- similar

I really love wearing skirts during the summer. I find them much comfier than shorts (though when I find a good pair, I love wearing them too). A little cotton flared number like this is incredibly easy to dress up or down. I wore heels to dress my skirt up for a wedding shower during the day, then changed into flat sandals for an outdoor food festival that evening. It was perfect for both occasions.
